MBA in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is home to sun-kissed beaches, sprawling malls, a booming financial district and Leonardo DiCaprio – what more reason is needed to study an MBA in Los Angeles? Well, LA has a few other things going for it that might appeal to prospective MBA students. Read on!

Aside from the obvious advantages of enrolling in Los Angeles vis-à-vis student lifestyle, the benefits for business students in particular are plentiful. The city’s cutting-edge technology centers, world-leading film and television industry, and thriving logistics and trade sectors make it a veritable hub for the ambitious and entrepreneurial.

Los Angeles (LA) has always prided itself on being a champion of new ideas, and the scale of its economy reflects this. The economy is remarkably diverse, with established industry clusters ranging from biomedical services to fashion, tourism to aerospace, entertainment to consumer products. Business in this metropolis is approached with passion, innovation and expertise from a wide variety of professionals.

There is a wide range of business schools in Los Angeles or close by offering business administration degrees. Two of these institutions are among the top-20 US business schools in the QS Global 200 business school rankings 2014/15 – UCLA Anderson and USC Marshall.

LA, along with much of state of California as a whole, is known for its social liberalism as compared to elsewhere in the US and boasts a large and culturally diverse population. International students, therefore, come from across the world to study in Los Angeles – in fact, the University of Southern California enrolls more international students each year than any other university in the entire US. Though this is perhaps less the case at MBA level, you can still expect a rich and diverse study environment.
